1. Ruffled Tree Skirt
For the past few years I have used the burlap from my wedding as a makeshift tree skirt. I just puddled the burlap around the tree skirt and voila... This year I think I'll make something a little more structured, so I have fallen in love with this tree skirt that is floating around on Pinterest. Instead of ruffling this with linen, I'm going to try to use my burlap. I already have this and burlap really fits with my house.
2. Burlap Wreath
I can't really put a wreath on my front door, so I'm not sure where I'm going to put it. But for some reason I can't pass up on burlap. I want to try and add a bow of some sort. I'll have to keep thinking on that one.
3. Glass Ornaments
I want to try several different things with glass ornaments. I found a glitter handprint 'Baby's First Christmas' ornament that I want to make. The only problem is that I have little to no hope of actually getting a good handprint from my little one. I tried this once before and the most I could get is Hudson's fist- it just looked like an ink blot on the paper. So maybe I'll try a footprint?
4. Mercury Glass Vases
I know this isn't exclusively for Christmas decorations, but I am very excited about having a collection of vases with votives and ornaments. After Christmas I'll be moving them to our bedroom (as long as they actually turn out like these did...)
Well I have a really long to do list, so I better get started. I'll let you know how it goes.
